About OTCU
OTCU makes software for video editors: plug-ins and extensions for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. OTCU FX adds glow, drop shadow and camera shake effects; OTCU Console is a free search bar for both apps.
Who is behind it
OTCU is the name behind the YouTube channel OTCU, which teaches how to make long- and short-form videos, and behind the plug-ins sold on this site.
OTCU is independent and based in the United States. It is a software maker for video editors and not related to other companies that use the same letters, such as a credit union or a crypto payment service.
What OTCU makes
OTCU FX is a set of effects for After Effects and Premiere Pro (2024 and newer) on Windows:
- Glow: a physically based glow computed in linear light.
- Drop Shadow: drop, cast and long shadows you can position in the viewer.
- Shake: natural, loopable camera shake.
In After Effects the effects render on the GPU with DirectX 12 or CUDA. One install adds them to both apps, and new effects are added in updates.
OTCU Console is a free search bar for After Effects and Premiere Pro on Windows: press Ctrl + Space, type a few letters and press Enter to apply effects, presets, transitions, scripts and menu commands without leaving the keyboard. No license, no account and no subscription.
